RISE announced a six-bout WEST.33 card for Dec. 6 at Nishitetsu Hall in Fukuoka, with Kakeru moving up to 60 kg to face Rantaro in a non-title fight.
What we know
- RISE WEST.33 takes place Dec. 6 at Nishitetsu Hall in Fukuoka with six announced bouts.
- Kakeru is listed fifth at featherweight and fights at 60 kg against Rantaro, the fourth-ranked super featherweight.
- The Kakeru vs. Rantaro bout is three three-minute rounds with one extension round and no title at stake.
- It is Kakeru's first appearance in his home prefecture in about a year and a half, according to RISE.
- Hiroto vs. Ayuto at 53 kg and Yuki Nakahara vs. Shogo Hidaka at 72 kg catchweight are also on the card.
Kakeru is stepping into another division for his return home. On Dec. 6 the REVOLT fighter, ranked fifth at featherweight, meets Rantaro at the 60 kg super featherweight limit. Rantaro holds the fourth spot in that division. The fight is the most consequential addition to a six-bout RISE WEST.33 card announced on Oct. 29.
The bout is not new. It was first announced during RISE WEST.32, and the latest release fills in the rest of the December program. It is also Kakeru's first appearance in his home prefecture in roughly a year and a half. His official history lists a June 1, 2025 fight with Ryoga Hirano at the same hall.
The move up matters because of the gap in size. Kakeru's profile lists him as an orthodox fighter, 169 cm tall, with a usual weight of 57.5 kg. Rantaro of OGRE Ehime is a southpaw listed at 172 cm. He joined RISE's rankings after his August 2025 debut against SEIDO, arriving as an ACCEL champion. Since then he has taken a loss in BOUT and wins in GLADIATOR and ACCEL. The fight runs three three-minute rounds with one extension round available, and no championship is attached.
The rest of the card is regional. At 53 kg, Hiroto of NEXT STEP GYM, the first RUSH ON bantamweight champion, meets Ayuto of PRINCE KC, the PRINCE REVOLUTION 61 kg champion. Hiroto comes off a July win over Yushi Nakamura at RISE WEST.31, and Ayuto is making his second WEST appearance.
The heaviest bout is a 72 kg catchweight between Yuki Nakahara of UPLIFT and Shogo Hidaka of DIATIGER GYM. Kaito Takao of BLOWS OITA LIFE faces Makoto Miyamoto of KICK BOXING GYM BLAST at 62.5 kg. Seiji Maruyama of RYUJI GYM meets Yusei Hori of Seiyujuku at 53 kg. Watch for a result in Fukuoka that shows whether Kakeru can carry his ranking into a heavier division.
