A fighter with two losses in two PFL appearances is now a ranked light heavyweight. Tyson Pedro entered PFL's Oct. 27 rankings at No. 10, previously unranked, and the move comes with no new victory and no announced return bout.
His PFL record is 0-2, according to MiddleEasy: a decision loss to Dovlet Yagshimuradov on April 16 and a first-round knockout loss to Rafael Xavier at 4:59 on July 26. Both men now sit above him. Xavier moved up one place, and Yagshimuradov is among the top contenders behind Antonio Carlos Jr., Luke Trainer and Simeon Powell. Pedro is 35, from Australia, and his overall record is 10-7.
The heavyweight chart has the most movement near the top, with Maxwell Djantou Nana fifth, J. Augusto sixth and E. Neves seventh. Champion Vadim Nemkov is followed by Oleg Popov, Denis Goltsov, Sergei Bilostenniy and Alexandr Romanov. Nemkov and Bilostenniy are the main event in Dubai, and PFL's announcement points to their shared ties to Fedor Emelianenko and past training camps together.
The pound-for-pound list is headed by Usman Nurmagomedov, ahead of Nemkov, Corey Anderson and middleweight champion Costello van Steenis. Jena Bishop is now listed as women's champion after her unanimous decision over Liz Carmouche at PFL Chicago on Oct. 16, scored 48-47 on all three cards.
The rankings were released with Dubai in mind, and PFL asked what changes after the event. Popov faces unbeaten Pouya Rahmani, Goltsov meets Djantou Nana on the preliminary card, and Patrick Habirora meets Omar El Dafrawy in the co-main event. Those results will test the charts first.
