RESULTS Jungle Fight 156: Goku and Bakai win Fight do Milhao finals; Silva debuts in 41s

Jungle Fight 156 produced two champions who came to the final by very different roads, and one of them won because the other's body gave out. Bakai, a 38-year-old who entered the tournament as a late replacement, left Sao Paulo as the men's champion and R$500,000 richer after Ernane Pimenta, the reigning Jungle Fight welterweight champion, hurt his knee.

The fight itself was mostly Bakai's. He held a kick, took Pimenta down and spent much of round one hunting a choke from his back. The referee warned him for strikes to the back of the head near the end of the round. In round two he went after Pimenta's right leg against the fence, got to his back again, and Pimenta lost his balance and fell screaming. The referee stopped it at once. Pimenta had reached the final with a second-round technical knockout and a first-round finish.

The women's final was a rematch of a 2022 kickboxing bout with MMA gloves, which Goku won by unanimous decision. This time Sattelmayer, who arrived with a guillotine finish and a split decision behind her, started brightly, but Goku took over the exchanges from round two. Sattelmayer was cut in round one, and Goku's best sequence came late in round four, when she landed a run of clean strikes. The Jungle Fight doctor then examined Sattelmayer between rounds and ruled she could not continue. Goku, 32, is reported to have won eight of her nine pro fights.

The night's best story may have come lower on the card. Ulisses Silva, 35, spent three years living on the streets near Cracolandia and slept outside the hotel where the fighters stayed this week. In his middleweight debut he submitted Felipe Alves with a flying armbar after 41 seconds. He works in a food factory alongside his training.

With both divisions decided, the 2026 tournament is complete. Pimenta's knee is the open question: no timetable for his recovery or return has been given, and nothing has been announced about his title or Bakai's next fight.
