Islam Dulatov has reportedly learned his next UFC opponent, and it is a fighter who also announced himself in the promotion with a quick finish. According to Dutch insider Marcel Dorff, who works with Eurosport Nederland, Dulatov will meet Georgia's Levan Chokheli at UFC Fight Night 295 on Dec. 5. Dorff posted the news on X. The UFC has not confirmed the bout.
Dulatov arrives with a 12-1 record, and his only loss came in his first pro fight. Eleven of his wins ended in the first round. He fought just once for Oktagon, stopping Ioannis Palaiologos in the first round in February 2024. He then knocked out Vanilton Antunes on Contender Series and made a successful UFC debut with a first-round KO of Adam Fugitt. He is 28 and listed as a Russian-born German fighter.
Chokheli, 30, is 15-3 and competes at lightweight. He is a Bellator veteran with a 4-3 record there. His UFC debut was even faster than Dulatov's: he beat Leon Shahbazyan by TKO after 23 seconds. He stands 6'1".
The pairing sets two finishers against each other, both coming off first-round stoppages in their UFC debuts. Neither man has yet shown how he handles a opponent who can also end a fight early, so the matchup could be decided quickly.
Watch for an official UFC announcement and for the card's placement, which will show how the promotion rates the fight. Until then, the bout remains a report from a single insider.
