Dana White said the UFC is working on a 'very unique' event and expects to announce it soon, but gave no city, venue, date, card or format.
What we know
- Dana White said the UFC is working on an event that will be very unique and that people from all over the world will want to come see.
- White said he has seen renderings and looks forward to announcing it soon.
- No city, venue, date or card has been given.
The UFC has a new event in development, and so far the only people who know what it looks like are the ones who have seen the drawings. Dana White said he has already started to see renderings of what the promotion could do, and that he looks forward to announcing it soon.
White made the remarks at the UFC 333 post-fight press conference in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. Championship Rounds clipped them and posted them on X. "We're working on an event right now that will be very unique. People from all over the world will want to come see it," he said, which frames it as a destination night that fans would plan travel around.
That is the extent of it. White did not say where or when it would happen, named no fighters, and described no format. He also did not say whether it is a one-off or how it would fit around the regular schedule. Any guess at a location or concept right now is speculation.
The tease came at the end of a night in which White was also defending the strength of his regular cards. Asked by a reporter about the most recent Saudi card, he pushed back and cut the exchange short. Whether the new event comes with a lineup to match its setting is a question the announcement will have to answer.
The next step is White's. He has put "soon" on the record, so the first concrete details, a host city, a date or a headline fight, are the things to watch for.
