Three belts will be created in a single night in Hungary. On Friday, Nov. 13, CombatX and BRAVE Combat Federation put the first CombatX champions at middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight on the line at MET Aréna in Székesfehérvár.
The middleweight title goes to the winner of Balázs Kiss vs. Marcéu Peixoto. At light heavyweight, Lajos Papp faces Caio Cesar. Heavyweight brings Tarhan Ibragimov against Rodrigo Carlos. Every title is inaugural, so no one on the card is defending anything and each fighter has the chance to become the promotion's first champion in the division.
The show belongs to Road to BRAVE, a project in which BRAVE CF partners with regional promotions to find rising talent and strengthen local MMA scenes. For the local organization, the benefit is visibility and a link to BRAVE CF's international network. For fighters, it is a route to exposure beyond their home country.
BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid framed it that way, saying such partnerships let the promotion contribute to the development of local talent and create more opportunities for athletes.
Only the three title fights have been announced. The rest of the card is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, and that will show how deep the Hungarian promotion's lineup is around its new championship bouts. Watch for that announcement, and for whether any of the winners are linked to BRAVE CF after the event.
