RESULTS Clash APEX+ 1: Masek stops favorite Ruzicka in round one, Sivak fight in doubt

Tadeas "Mawar" Ruzicka came into Clash APEX+ 1 talking about Vaclav Sivak and treating Jan Masek as one stop on the way. He never got past it. Masek, the biggest underdog on the card, ended the main event in round one and left the Sivak plan in doubt.

According to MMA Fanatik Slovakia, Ruzicka was bleeding from the nose midway through the round. About a minute from the end, Masek landed a right hand that put him down. Ruzicka got up but was visibly shaken, and the referee waved it off. Fights.cz reports that Ruzicka said he did not understand the stoppage, because with three rounds scheduled he had not expected it to end. He added that he has suffered far worse losses and would come back hungrier.

The result lands on a plan that was already shaky. Ruzicka named Nov. 22 on the B4THEAPEX show with Sivak on the phone, according to Clash Rankings, but Clash has announced no contract, venue or card. Nov. 22, 2027 is a Monday, an odd day for a major event. Sivak is booked against Zadera at RFA 35 on Nov. 27, 2026. Masek also went three rounds with Sivak in 2021, according to Top-Fight, which makes this win an awkward measuring stick for Ruzicka. One fan on social media said it killed the Sivak fight.

Masek is listed at 3-3 as a pro and has fought in Cage Warriors and KSW. Fights.cz puts him at 24 years old. The bout was under K-1 rules, which favored Ruzicka, in small MMA gloves, which were expected to suit Masek. Fights.cz says Masek plans his future mainly in KSW and thanked that promotion for letting him fight for Clash.

Ruzicka had explained why he picked Clash over a reported Oktagon offer. On the Willy Cao channel he said co-owner Tyberiusz Labudek paid him a sum when his last fight was cancelled about two weeks before he went to prison, and he praised Tomas Le Sy for keeping his word.

Watch for whether Clash gives Ruzicka a quick rebound fight, and whether Masek gets a bigger booking.
