BUZZ Babilon MMA 61: Wlodarczyk beats Sianos; Adamek rejects callout, Kacprzak stoppage disputed

Tomasz Adamek has closed the door on the fight Krzysztof Wlodarczyk asked for after Babilon MMA 61. Speaking to sportowefakty.wp.pl, Adamek said he has known Wlodarczyk for 30 years, cannot imagine fighting him and will not answer what he sees as a provocation. Plans for his last fight, which could come after the New Year, are already in place, he said, and a rival has been proposed.

The callout followed a hard main event in Radomia. Wlodarczyk, 45, gave away a lot of size: Sianos weighed 127.6 kg to his 100.3 kg. The former boxing world champion stayed mobile, the fight opened up in round two, and he came out aggressively in round three. Sianos, a 9-9 MMA fighter by the pre-fight records, tired late. Two judges scored it 29-28 for Wlodarczyk and one 29-28 for Sianos.

In his post-fight interviews Wlodarczyk accused Adamek of hypocrisy while saying he still respects him, and said he would like to settle it in a boxing match. Matchmaker Artur Gwozdz did not confirm any fight. Wlodarczyk also said he was ready for a blood test on Monday, promised to film himself giving samples, and told MMA fighters to stop using banned substances. Adamek later dismissed Sianos as an opponent, saying big men can be beaten "like boys" and that Wlodarczyk was too static on his feet.

The night's other talking point was the finish of Piotr Kacprzak vs. Isai Ramos. Kacprzak survived a first round spent mostly under Ramos, hurt him with a flying knee in round two, and locked a leg choke from his back. Referee Piotr Jarosz checked Ramos's arm and stopped the fight. Ramos then signalled he was conscious and felt he had not tapped, but the win is officially recorded as a submission.

Kacprzak did not defend the stoppage hard. He admitted Ramos showed an okay sign seconds later and said he wants to rewatch the footage. "Why not a rematch?" he said, proposing a December fight at 70 kg. Gwozdz, who backs Jarosz in general, still called the stoppage a mistake and said he would like to make the rematch.

The win also matters for Kacprzak's return to KSW. He told InTheCage that KSW matchmaker Wojslaw Rysiewski set two conditions: make weight and win outside KSW. He now has both, though the decision belongs to the organization.

Watch for whether Babilon books Kacprzak-Ramos 2 before the end of the year, for KSW's decision on Kacprzak, and for Adamek's last-fight announcement.
