The prize in Istanbul is the WBC Silver belt, not the sanctioning body's full heavyweight title. Neither the WBC nor the promoters have said the winner is guaranteed a world-title challenge, so the fight's weight rests on the unbeaten record on one side and the Olympic pedigree on the other.
Umut Camkiran, 37, is the home fighter. RMO lists him at 25 wins without a defeat, 23 by knockout, and calls him a three-time WBC Asian heavyweight champion with additional regional belts. He finished his preparation in Tunceli under coach István Szili, according to footage from 12 Raund Sports. Fighting in front of a Turkish crowd, he has the chance to turn a regional résumé into a Silver title.
Mourad Aliev, 31, is the more seasoned opponent on the biggest stages. He competed at Tokyo 2020 and, according to the promoter, has held WBC International Silver and Mediterranean honors. At 201 cm he is a tall heavyweight, though no official height or reach comparison exists yet. RMO says those measurements will come at the weigh-in. The WBC spells his name Murad Aliyev, but it is the same fighter.
The undercard is built around regional belts. Vela meets Taverdi for an International belt, Hutsiv faces Putzi for the Silver International bridgerweight title, and Evmorfiadis meets Kokashvili. Arena Boxing, RMO Boxing and ProBox TV share promotional duties.
Watch for an updated event notice. The WBC names ProBox TV as the worldwide broadcaster and Türk Telekom Tivibu for Turkey, but gives no start time, and the promoter's page still says broadcast details will be announced. Tickets are on sale through Passo, from 800 to 5,000 Turkish lira.
