Reported, not confirmed

The main event of No Limits XXXVII is built as a clash of nations. Nikos 'the Grexican' Avramidis, the unbeaten Macedonian boxer of the promotion, faces Iran's Meysam Gheshlaghi for the 'Alexander the Great' belt, with the night billed as Greece vs. Persia.

Gheshlaghi is known as the 'Tyson of the East' and is described in the promotion's release as No. 64 in the world. Organizer Georgia Bitakou called the fight very difficult and congratulated Avramidis for accepting such a large challenge.

Avramidis, from Serres, confirmed he is entering the toughest fight of his career. He said the Persian is coming from a war (Iran) to enter a war, that he will not let the belt leave Greece, and that he wants a knockout rather than a simple win.

In the co-main fight, kickboxing title holder Christos 'Non Stop' Avramidis defends against Cretan challenger Nikos Tavladakis, who trains in Athens. Christos said, like all his fights, it will end early, and he aims for a knockout that lifts the stadium.

Greek champion Charis Tsaousidis, the more experienced of the two, meets Alessandro Gati, who recently arrived from England and is of Albanian descent, over four rounds. Both were at the press conference, where a heated verbal exchange followed. Tsaousidis predicted the fight would not go four rounds.

The card marks 20 years of No Limits and is held at PAOK Sports Arena. Bitakou also announced a documentary on the life of Alexander the Great, premiering Oct. 31 at Thessaloniki City Hall with free entry. The fights themselves are still to come.
