Babilon MMA 61: Wlodarczyk faces Sianos, Kacprzak fights Ramos with KSW return at stake

Former boxing world champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk steps into the Babilon MMA cage for the first time against Marcin Sianos, an MMA fighter with a big size edge, but the bout is under small-glove boxing rules, so Sianos cannot kick or take him down. KSW's Artur Szpilka has predicted a Wlodarczyk knockout; Sianos told InTheCage that was boxer solidarity, said Szpilka has never sparred him and does not expect the fight to reach a decision. To MMA.pl, his worry was that Wlodarczyk would circle and avoid open exchanges rather than trade.

The co-main event carries career stakes. Piotr Kacprzak, a former Babilon MMA champion returning to the promotion after years away and chasing a third straight win, according to MMA.pl, has had recent trouble making weight. He told InTheCage he met KSW matchmaker Wojslaw Rysiewski and his manager Artur Gwozdz, and was set two conditions: hit the limit and win outside KSW. "The first point of the plan I've completed and tomorrow I complete the second, I hope," Kacprzak said.

Kacprzak says he has learned from his weight misses, pointing to longer camps, a dietitian and better recovery, and hopes to be back in KSW after the new year. Any return remains KSW's decision. The rest of the card features prospects Stanislaw Telejko and Dominik Wydra, two K-1 rules bouts and two semi-pro fights.
